I Sat And Gave It a Good Think

Writing a blog about being flawed but fearless is a bit tricky.   There is an expectation you have some profound advice to offer the people who decide they want to take the time to read your words.

I don’t.

What age brings you in wisdom is only half right.  You kind of figure out what you shouldn’t do.  Not necessarily what you should.

So my blog won’t be about platitudes or some amazing self-truths designed to make you make feel like I know what the hell is going on.

Rather, I am hopeful it will be about observations.  Noting the many absurdities of life along with its quirky beauties and also finding those moments, those people who propel you, make you grow in a different direction when you least expect it.  Whether that be good or bad.

The first assignment of this blog is to tell you why we are flawed by fearless.

What I recognized first about this is I knew my flaws quickly.  Could tick them off like a metronome.

Fearless not so much.

So like Pooh, I sat and gave it a good think.  For like a month.

What I came up with is that those two concepts are mingled together for me.  That the forces of what define us because of our life experiences fundamentally make us flawed and our ability to go forward head up despite the obstacles make us fearless.  There is no one without the other.

So what do I do with my flawed but hopefully fearless self?

Stay tuned.
