Vote on November 7

I have written before about the importance of voting. I will always consider it a privilege and have tried my darndest to teach that to our children.

But I have learned to not lecture about my own opinions on all the issues and candidates. Politics and religion are deeply personal, and don’t merit dialogue unless invited and in the spirit of calm debate. I have seen too many ugly scenarios over differences in politics play out in society and even among families and friends. Politely declining a heated conversation is completely fine and keeps some level of negativity out of life.

There are some major issues for Ohioians this year, and I hope voters take the time to understand the issues and show up to cast their ballot.

Issue 1 – be sure to understand the language written in the issues. It has changed since the special election in August.

Issue 2 – what might be a heated ballot issue is quietly out there, with most of the noise being focused on the above issue.

Sometimes the most important races are local ones. See below for information about local candidates and levies that will be on the ballot for Centerville and Washington Twp residents.
