An Introduction to Nina G.
I met Nina when I was 15 years old at a church youth group.
I adored her instantly. She is lovely and real and fun and loyal. We attended different high schools, but we found ways to stay connected through high school and beyond. She was the person to go flying with me in a small personal plane (longer story for a different time but we did go over Whitney Houston’s house) and go boating on Budd Lake with older boys. The Thelma to my Louise.
Through the years, Nina and I connected in person as best we could and stayed in touch. I witnessed helplessly from Ohio as her husband suffered from brain cancer and passed away much too young, leaving behind Nina and their two young children.
That is the stuff that nightmares are made of, our FBF readers. And somehow eight years later, Nina and her children are living fully and thriving.
I asked Nina to share her story and experiences with us on our blog, and she graciously has agreed to be a regular author for us.
My heartfelt welcome to you, Nina. And thank you for sharing this with all of us.
We are happy to add your voice to ours.
Xoxo,
Erin
